THE SACRED JOURNEY Part 8

THE SACRED JOURNEY Part 8

ALIVE AGAIN!

In The Sacred Journey Part 7, we learned more was never enough. No matter what accomplishments the siblings achieved, no matter what riches and notoriety they experienced, they needed more to fill the emptiness they felt. Soul expressed the longings of her heart for contentment, peace, and love. Deep inside their hearts, the siblings knew what they longed for was real because they experienced the fullness of those desires in Sacred Meadows. Sin tried to convince them what they wanted was just a fairy tale.

The hour arrived for the elder son, Grace, to travel to the city in the valley called ‘The World’ to rescue his siblings. He is both anxious and excited to see them again. Several years have passed since he last saw them and he knows they are much older and hope they will recognize him. As he packed his bags, his uncle came to him and said, “Grace, I do not want you going to that place alone, wait a minute, let me pack and I will go with you.” Grace said, “Uncle Truth, it will be a very tedious journey, are you sure you will be up to going into the darkness where Evil One and his family lives?” Uncle Truth replied, “Without me Grace, your siblings will not recognize you. I know they have learned the lies of Evil One and only I can open the blind eyes of their understanding to see again.” So they gathered their food, bags, and began their journey through the treacherous mountainside then deep into the valley. When they reached the bottom of the mountain, they saw an old grayish gown, torn to pieces covering someone. As they lifted the gown from the body, they saw a limp little person underneath it; they both realized it was Spirit. Grace called to her, “Spirit! Spirit! It is me your brother Grace, wake up my sister!” Nothing happened. Grace asked his uncle, “What is wrong with my sister, she will not wake up from her sleep?” Uncle Truth replied, “In ‘The World’ when life and breath is absent from a person, they call it death.” “We do not experience death in Sacred Meadows, everything and everyone live forever. Only in ‘The World’ people experience death.” “What do we do to wake her up?” asked Grace. Uncle Truth said, “Let me wake her.” So Uncle Truth took Spirit in his arms and breathed upon her. Then Grace kissed her forehead, Spirit opened her eyes and smiled. Grace rejoiced saying, “My sister is alive! She was dead, she is alive again!” They removed her old grayish and tattered gown, then adorned her with a pearl and diamond embroidered white gown prepared for her by her father, the one she wore in Sacred Meadows.

As night approached, uncle Truth, Grace, and Spirit sat together laughing, singing, and enjoying their precious time together. They knew what lie ahead will not be an easy task, setting their siblings free from the yokes and bondage of Sin and Evil One, but they prepared themselves for the task.

When morning came, uncle Truth and Grace told Spirit, “Spirit, you will have to stay here until we free your siblings. Spirit objected and said, “I know you want to protect me, but I am secure and protected only when I am with you; I am never to be alone on my own; our father created me that way, remember?” They both nodded their heads in agreement, “Yes, you are right.” So they devised a plan to disguise themselves to fit in with the rest of the citizens in the city to gain entrance and assimilate into the new culture.

In our next chapter, what plan did they come up with to rescue their siblings from ‘The World’ and bring them back home to Sacred Meadows?

THE GIFT of LIFE: In Part 8 of The Sacred Journey, Spirit is alive again. Spirit is the “REAL US,” created to live in intimacy with and dependent on our Father. Acts 17:28 states, “Only in Him do we live and move and have our being.” He longs for us to enjoy Him, the God and Father of the Universe, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Without this relationship, we are as fish gasping for air on the shores of life, struggling, instead of swimming in the oceans of His Grace and Love.

Prayer: Father, thank you for Grace and Truth, we cannot live without either of them. If we have not invited you into our hearts, please come in Lord Jesus and not just be my Lord and Savior, but be my Life. I only exist, go through the motions, pretend to enjoy life, if you are not my LIFE. AMEN
