GRACE WHISPERS – Being Loved

GRACE WHISPERS

  Being Loved

Grace Whispers: We all long for our parents to love and care for us, to meet our deepest emotional needs. However, they are only human, lost and in search of their own identities; that’s why Our Heavenly Father is our true parent who created us and can fill our deepest longings and needs.

My new book, “My Return Home to Innocence,” (found on Amazon), Chapter 9 titled, “Momma and Daddy.” This chapter shares how we are all longing to be loved by our parents. I remember growing up watching television shows like, Leave it to Beaver and My Three Sons. My favorite one was Good Times, about a family growing up in the projects and poor as I did. These three television shows all had one vital storyline in common, the children were all loved by both parents. The children had a Momma and a Daddy.  How I longed to be loved by my Momma and Daddy, how about you? For most children, living with one or no parent at all can be heartbreaking as we have discussed over the past months. As you recall in our last blog, we discovered when the love we long from our earthly parents isn’t filled, we seek to fill those longings by other means. However, in our last blog, we discovered our Heavenly Father (Papa) can and will fill those longings if we would allow Him to. Two beautiful passages of scripture that depict our Papa’s love are found in Hebrews 13:5.

Psalm 27:10 – When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up. (King James version)

Psalm 27:10 – Although my father and my mother have abandoned me, yet the Lord will take me up [adopt me as His child].(Amplified version)

In today’s blog, we will focus on part 2 of my last blog, “Be Loved by the Beloved.” This article was also written for Lifetime Ministries several years ago as a follow up to our last week’s blog, “Be Loved.”

BE LOVED BY THE BELOVED

“For the Father has delivered us and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love (Beloved Son).” Colossians 1:13 Amplified version.

For every true believer of Christ, this is an amazing scripture! The Father chose such an awesome and glorious feat. He has taken us out of the control of sin, flesh, and the devil and placed us back Home into the Kingdom where we have always belonged. It is a Kingdom where His Son rules and reigns. A Kingdom where our Father and the Holy Spirit lives… and that KINGDOM IS WITHIN US! When did we enter His Kingdom, you may ask? It happened the moment when we told the Lord Jesus how sorry we were for trying to live life without Him and repented (turned away from our sin and returned to Him) then acknowledged His sacrifice for us on the cross and made Him Lord (our boss)… never to live to please our fleshly desires again. Then, our Father took us out of the OLD Kingdom of Darkness and placed us into a NEW Kingdom called the “Kingdom of God,” the King’s domain, and the domain of His Beloved Son!

Have you discovered this New Kingdom on the inside of you? Have you experienced the love and life of the Beloved living deep within your spirit penetrating through your soul? If not, you can! In this article, we will examine the Kingdom of God and how to experience it and to ‘Be Loved by your ‘Beloved’ once again.

The Kingdom of God is a place where the Godhead abides. It is the place located in the center of our spirits. In that place, our spirit and soul reign as One again with the Lord! It is a peaceful place, a restful place, a graceful place, a heavenly place, and nothing of the flesh, the world, or sin can enter. It is a fortified place, an everlasting place, a place where pure life and love forever abide. Only humbled souls are welcomed; all others must remain outside the gates. For HE IS; He is the center of all affections, therefore, the ‘I’ is forbidden and banished from this place. It is in this place we experience the grace and love of ‘The Beloved Son of Glory, Jesus the Christ.’

To understand why the Father called Jesus Christ ‘Beloved,’ let’s look at its meaning. ‘Beloved’ means worthy of love, esteemed, dear, and favorite. Beloved is used 62 times in the New Testament and the majority of those times it refers to believers – you and I have been brought back home into the Kingdom of our Lord and Christ. In the Old Testament, ‘Beloved’ means ‘one so deeply loved.’ It is not like the human love we talked about in our last article but it is a deep and intimate love with no strings attached shared with us as it flows from the Father to His Son and through us.

To experience the Kingdom of God and the love of the Beloved, just receive it! The key to experiencing all that is ours in Christ is to believe whatever He says is TRUE. That’s it!  Simply, affirm to the Lord, “Thank you for living inside me Lord. Thank you Lord for loving me so much, I receive your love.” It’s just that simple! Then, be obedient to His Words and to the desires of His heart revealed through His letters to us in the Bible and to His voice within our spirits.  As we open our hearts over and over again, just thank Him and worship Him with our whole beings. He is our Life and we are One with Him as we walk through life together each day.

We may not have grown up with the unconditional love from our parents, but we are loved by our Heavenly Father, Our Lord Jesus, and the Holy Spirit which transcends ALL HUMAN LOVE! THEIR LOVE IS THE EPITOME OF ALL LOVE THROUGHOUT THE UNIVERSE… IT IS OURS FOREVER IN CHRIST!

We are worthy of love, esteemed, dear children, and our Papa’s favorite!
